SS Simon and Jude C.E Primary School – Proposed Admissions Policy

The Governing Board at SS Simon and Jude CE Primary School are proposing a change to their admission arrangements for 2021-22. In line with the Schools Admissions Code we are required to consult on these arrangements and we are therefore inviting comments on the proposed Admission Policy for 2021-22.

The consultation period will commence on Monday 9th December 2019 and will end on Friday 31st January 2020. If you would like to comment on the proposals below, please put these in writing and send to SS Simon and Jude CE Primary School, Newport Road, Bolton, BL3 2DT, marked for the attention of Miss K Jones (Principal) / Mrs A Johnson (Chair of Governors).

SS Simon and Jude do our own admissions for pupils who apply for a nursery place and in-year transfers (transfers between primary schools). Admission to reception class 2020

If your child was born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016, your child is due to start reception in September 2020.

Please note: Our reception class places at the start of the academic year are applied for through the Local Authority. The Local Authority will place pupils according to our admission criteria.

Applications for reception 2020 will open on Monday 23 September 2019 and are applied for online through the School Admissions Portal.

The online application process closes on Wednesday 15 January 2020. School offer day is 16 April 2020. Information will not be provided before this date in any circumstance. Offers will be made by email only. Emails will be sent from 7am on Tuesday 16 April 2020. If you have not received your email please check in your junk and spam folders before telephoning the school admissions department. You can also view your school offer by logging into your account through the Citizens Portal. If you wish to appeal please follow the link in your offer email. Changes cannot now be made to your application for a school place, however, you may apply again in August as an in year application. Any new application forms received will cancel any application received previously.
