Remote Learning

This information page is intended to provide clarity and transparency for children and parents about what to expect from remote education where national or local restrictions require entire cohorts to remain at home.

The remote curriculum: What is taught to pupils at home

All staff will use Seesaw as the learning platform to keep in contact with pupils in a professional and confidential manner. Teachers will be able to schedule learning in a manner that does not overwhelm the children. Teaching and learning can be tailored, changed and updated as time progresses, allowing for replication of classroom activity to the best of our ability. In all communications, the well-being of all our pupils will take priority.

Within the links below you will find our ‘Remote Learning Policy‘ which provides clear guidance linked to our expectations of staff, pupils and parents. The ‘Remote Learning Plan‘ gives additional information on how SS Simon and Jude CE Primary School will provide learning. There is also an additional document ‘Remote Learning Questions and Answers‘ which provides key information for parents in a question and answer format. If after reading the documentation, you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact school.

Seesaw is the school’s preferred learning platform. In the links below, you will find useful videos/information linked to Seesaw.
