SS Simon & Jude STAR TA Training Programme is making a difference to the life chances of families in Greater Manchester.

By enhancing the skills of teaching assistants we support positive outcomes for the children they work with.

We are expanding our work based learning assessor team and recruiting QCF STL and CYP Assessors and IV/ IQA to assess candidates working in primary and secondary schools across Greater Manchester.

Our learners are working towards Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools and Children and Young People's Workforce qualifications including Apprenticeships.

We currently have a vacancy for a part time work based assessor in Greater Manchester. This role is offered on a freelance or casual hours basis.

As a STAR Assessor:

You will be an experienced work based assessor with an appropriate Assessor qualification as well as relevant occupational knowledge and experience. 

With a professional appearance, and a friendly personality, you will be well organised and have a strong desire and commitment to help learners progress in their career.

You will deliver work based learning, including delivery of Apprenticeships, through 121 workplace and remote assessment, guiding learners through their qualification and helping them to prepare for Functional Skills tests as appropriate.

Our Apprenticeship learners are assessed using an e-portfolio.

Assessors support a caseload of learners across a 12 month Apprenticeship programme.
